State Wrestling and Parties

Yesterday was the state wrestling tournament. Tyler had a rough go at it. He went into it with a 13-2 record and a lot of anticipation and excitement, but lost his first and third matches. He actually seems okay with it. Maybe that means he is growing up and understands that sometimes you just have an off day and don't do as well as you wanted? I hope so.
On another note, Brenna and Braelynn got to attend their first real birthday party! They love to go to A.J.'s house to play anyway, so they were very excited. I had the older three go pick them up (they just live across the street) and they looked so big coming home with their helmets and apron they got at the party on I had to take a picture.

My News

Under qualified, anxious, excited, and overwhelmed. Yep, that is just about how I have felt since Saturday night when the Stake President called me on my cell phone while I was in Nevada to call me to be the second counselor in the Stake Relief Society Presidency.
I am, however, very grateful for the whisperings of the spirit letting me know that all will be well, that my family will be strengthened and protected. I am thankful for my knowledge of divine revelation, that even though my head tells me that I don't belong there, I can and do know in my heart without a doubt that she was inspired to call me. And most of all I am so blessed to have a good husband that will stand by me and support me and help me like he has in the past.

Nap Time Cuddles

This post is in honor of my little sister, Jeanette, who just found out that she is having twins.
I went to check on Brenna and Braelynn during their naps today and saw them sound asleep like this.

10 wins, 2 losses

That is Tyler's wrestling record as of this Saturday. He is loving it. This season has gone by really fast and we only have two tournaments left, and both of them are here in town.
Joe has been pestering me to post pictures and some videos, so here they are.

This was the weekend before last. Tyler is the one with the white shirt and blue shorts.

These are from this last weekend. Tyler is in the black singlet this time.

Orchestra Solo

For this years orchestra concert, Veronica's teacher decided to do something different and do a solo and ensemble competition instead of having the whole orchestra perform. Tryouts were Tuesday and she made one of the five spots! She performed her solo yesterday (Wednesday) and did awesome.
I am amazed at her musical talent, especially since I have no rhythm whatsoever. She can sit down at a piano and sound out parts of a song and she can plunk out the tune to her violin songs on the piano if you give her a minute.
Here is is video of her song. If you are interested, just turn of our music at the bottom of the page.

Here is what Samantha thought of the performances!

Cheap Entertainment

Joe's brother, Jonathon and his wife, Brittany came over last night with little Morgan. Look how enthralled the kids were with her! We all had fun hanging out with Jonathon and Brittany and playing with Morgan.
