I usually try to clip my coupons when Brenna and Braelynn are either napping or in bed for the night or entertained with something else but this week has been very busy so I had to clip coupons and make my shopping list last night. I thought they would be happy watching the movie I rented for the rest of the kids but no...
I was getting rid of some expired coupon inserts and hadn't put them with the recycling yet when they came up to me saying "mom, I help you?". So I gave them the expired inserts and their little scissors they use. It was really cute-they kept telling me they were cutting their coupons and putting them in stacks like I do. It was a mess when I made them clean them up after an hour but it did the trick. I got my coupons clipped, shopping list made and dishes done before they were finished clipping coupons!

Heber Creeper
The last big activity we did was ride the Heber Creeper. Really just a ride on a train, but the kids had fun and we had beautiful weather for it.

Alpine Slide
I had never heard of the Alpine slide. I must be living in the dark ages. Apparently it is a big thing. It was a ton of fun.
You ride the ski lift up to the top and then slide down over 3000 feet (that's what the web site said) of a track that resembles a luge track on a sled with wheels.

River Rafting
After the vacation was over, we asked the kids what their favorite part of the vacation was and they all said playing with their cousins/aunts & uncles/Grandma & Grandpa.
But after that, it was rafting.
Here are some pictures. Not everyone went rafting and those that did go split into two different groups

The Rundown
Well, here is a rundown of our last few weeks...
Veronica, Tyler and Samantha got out of school on May 22nd. Hurray!
Thanks to a chance run-in with my cousin Jill, her husband Jared and two kids Jacob and Cadence who live in Arizona and happened to be in Cedar City we went fishing with them and spend a few hours at their family's cabin on Memorial Day and hiked Cascade falls.

Went to Lincoln County, Nevada on May 29 to see by little brother, Neal, graduate from High School, the same high school I graduated from um...a few years ago!
Left Sunday, May 31 for an awesome family vacation with my parents, siblings, and their spouses and children. Thanks to the generosity of my parents, we were able to spend four nights in a huge vacation house in Heber City, Utah.
While there we took the opportunity to: go river rafting, fish, slide the Alpine Slides, ride the Heber Creeper, watch movies in the theater room, relax, play games, read, play, and enjoy being together as a family.
To finish it off, on our way home on Thursday, Joe, I and the kids along with Neal and my Mom and Dad took the time to walk through the open house of the Oquirrh Mountain temple.
More pictures and details to come!
