Happy 6 Years

Everyone always says that the baby of the family has it so easy, and yes, there are definate advantages of being the youngest but I have found one possible drawback of being the youngest.  Sometimes life is so busy with older kids that there isn't always time for the things they want.
Brenna and Braelynn turned 6 this week.  Right smack dab in the middle of possibly the busiest week of the entire school year.  Like 6 soccer games in 6 days, 2 concerts, art night at school, knee surgery (for Joe), and the usual young mens, young womens, acheivment days, piano, violin, etc, etc.  No time for a party (Most of their friends are either in all-day kindergarten or afternoon kindergarten so a party while everyone else is in school wansn't an option, either.).  Both the weekend before and after are a no-go so we did a little family party litteraly squeezed in between a soccer game at 5, Joe leaving for work at 6 and getting kids picked up and dropped off to after school activities.  We opened presents in the morning between Joe getting home from work at 7:15 and Veronica leaving at 7:25.  So between that and the fact that my camera is dying a sad death the pics of opening presents didn't turn out.
They did have a fun birthday, though.  The three of us celebrated by getting manicures done at the local cosmotology school.
Braelynn wanted a crown cake for her birthday cake

Brenna wanted the most delicious chocolate bunt cake found here.  We hadn't made it in a very long time but made it for company one night a few weeks ago and she requested that.

Happy birthday girls!

Burritos

Because I want to do better at blogging more often, but really have nothing I want to blog about, here is a picture of a "B&B burrito" courtesy of Tyler and Sam.
