It is not as impressive or exciting as what Vera did on Saturday, but pretty cool anyway.
I bottled 13 jars of beets from our own garden! I have bottled beans, beets and tomatoes before but had not done any for quite a few years and had forgotten how satisfying it is to do that. Now I am excited to do my tomatoes and apples and hopefully my peaches that are growing in our backyard.
Except now I have to figure out where to put them...

This is what Brenna and Braelynn looked like at 7:30 pm after having two cousins (Hafen and Hudson)spend the night the night before and then playing all the next day without naps...

Special Day

Yesterday, Saturday August 1st was Samantha's baptism day. She was baptised and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints She looked beautiful in her white dress made by Grandma Smith.
It was a beautiful baptism and she was lucky enough to have lots of family there to support her.

Sam turns 8
Samantha turned 8 years old last Monday, July 27. She celebrated that day with our family by opening a few presents and having Toll House Pie, our newest favorite evil dessert found here.
Then on Thursday she had a party with her friends at Evans Hairstyling College. Her and some of her friends got pampered with manicures and hairstyles followed by cupcakes, and of course presents!

We are so lucky to have her in our family. She loves life and makes the most out of every moment.
Happy Birthday, Samantha!

Oh, What Do You Do in the Summertime?
When all the world is green?
Do you fish in a stream (lake)?
Aspen Mirror Lake

Do you swim in a pool, to keep yourself cool?
Do you march in parades? (Or watch them and then participate in the festivities afterwards?

Do you hike some trails and climb on rocks?
Bryce Canyon National Park

Honeycomb Caves while camping near Enterprise, Utah

Is that what you do? So do we!

Happy 12

Wow, Veronica turned 12 years old yesterday. We celebrated yesterday with dinner of her choice. Homemade corn dogs and cheesecake.
Today she had her party with her friends. We took them to Evans, a local hairstyling college to have facials and hairstyles. They seemed to have a good time getting pampered and being all together again. It is fun to watch all of them together laughing and talking. She is so blessed to have good friends with high standards and good morals.
She is so excited to now be in Young Women's and be able to go to girls camp. I love watching her grow up and becoming her own person.
Happy Birthday, Veronica!
